Take your Weta Studio Tours experience to the next level with three interactive workshops led by Weta Workshop crew! Gain exclusive access to our off-premises group experience space and learn in an inspiring setting.
MIXING MOVIE BLOOD
Our crew have been slipping and sliding on faux blood and loose limbs since the days of Peter Jackson’s Braindead (1992). Learn how we make the consistency of blood oh-so-oozy for film and TV, while you whip up a batch to bring home.
Traditional chainmaille armour, made from thousands of rings of steel linked together, makes for a hard and HEAVY day’s work on a film set. Luckily, during The Lord of the Rings, we developed a light-weight alternative to adorn the armies of Middle-earth! Witness the evolution and create your own custom piece of Weta Workshop chainmaille to take away.
SCULPTING SCARS & SCRAPES
It takes a small amount of silicone gel, some creative flair and plenty of sticky silliness to recreate a convincing wound! Join our crew to learn how it's done. You’ll be covered in special effects make-up, staging a werewolf attack and scaring your friends in no time.
Children 6 – 12 Years: $40 (must be accompanied by an adult)
Offered daily at 3PM (subject to availability)
