Wētā Workshop pop-up Sydney showroom extended
Wētā Workshop has extended its pop-up showroom on the Disney Lot in Moore Park, Sydney, offering by-appointment viewings until March 2027.
The mini showroom offers a look at a small sample selection of Wētā Workshop’s specialty costume pieces, alongside insight into the studio’s broader craft capability, including prosthetics, weapons and armour.
Wētā Workshop’s Head of Business Development – Creative Services, Danielle Prestidge, says, “It’s important to us to have a presence that’s easy for our clients to connect with, which is why I spend much of my time in Los Angeles and now Sydney, meeting with people in person and supporting our projects.”
The Sydney pop-up showroom is part of a growing international footprint for the studio. Alongside its Wellington home base, Wētā Workshop maintains a representative presence in the United States, bringing its people closer to the productions, studios and creative teams it works with. It serves as a complementary resource for international productions shooting in Australia, offering specialty capacity alongside local vendors.
While Wētā Workshop is based in New Zealand, our world-class creative studio is set up to serve international productions wherever they shoot, and has a long history of servicing productions in Australia and worldwide. Clients can engage the full pipeline — concept design, prototyping, weapons and armour, specialty costume, creature and large-scale specialty manufacture, through to on-set support — or pick up a single element of it, scaled to what the production needs.
Danielle is based in Sydney and periodically and opens the showroom by appointment only. If you would like to arrange a visit to our Sydney or Wellington locations, or learn more about our creative services, email services.enquiries@wetaworkshop.co.nz.
